Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
This Statement of Privacy outlines the commitment that 12 BLUEPRINTS makes to safeguarding your privacy and explains how your information is used and the choices available to you in its use and storage. By using the 12 BLUEPRINTS website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.
Collection and Use of Personal Data
12 BLUEPRINTS collects and uses your personal information to operate the 12 BLUEPRINTS website, deliver services, enable functionality of the store, allow us to correspond, or inform you directly of other available products and services.
12 BLUEPRINTS collects personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, a user name for registered users, and a mailing address if you shop. These forms of information enable you to use the features of the website and shop better and allow us to communicate. They are not visible to the public and are never shared unless required for legal or public safety reasons.
Personal information is never rented, shared, sold, or leased to any third party or business partner. Information may be shared when necessary to provide postal deliveries, complete payment transactions, or complete forms for Customs for products entering various countries. These external services maintain the privacy of your information.
Information is not received by 12 BLUEPRINTS from third parties such as Facebook or Instagram. However, those sites may record, store, or share information regarding your previous browsing history at 12 BLUEPRINTS. 12 BLUEPRINTS is not responsible for how other sites manage privacy, content, or security. Information in this regard may be found in the privacy policies of those sites. Readers are strongly encouraged to be familiar with the information management policies of the websites they visit, as these policies may differ widely from site to site. These sites may offer the option of adjusting your personal privacy and notification settings or removing any links between you and them.
There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by 12 BLUEPRINTS. This may happen at the time of login or via third party analytics tools such as Google Analytics. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, and referring Web site addresses (which webpage brought you to 12 BLUEPRINTS and/or on which page you entered the site), and is used by 12 BLUEPRINTS for the operation and quality of the service and to understand time and usage patterns, as well as following the popularity of certain topics. This information is only used collectively, aggregately, and anonymously, with no data or measurement relating to any single user or user demographic.
For all users, including those in the EEA (European Economic Area), 12 BLUEPRINTS will collect and use your information to provide the service, allow you to interact with us, such as in comments on blog posts, or fulfil the delivery of items available through the shop. You may request that your information be removed at any time by e-mailing christine@12blueprints.com. In doing so, you may be unable to continue using the services of this website. You may request that your information be corrected or updated. Information may be deleted on the 12 BLUEPRINTS site, but not on external sites with which you have shared information.
Please be aware that if you directly disclose personally identifiable or sensitive information, this information may be collected and used by others. It may also be searched and may be found after you deleted it, via cached or archived pages, or if other users copied the information to documents or screen capture images.
12 BLUEPRINTS does not accept advertisements from any third-party organization.
Use of Cookies
Cookies are small text files, a string of numbers and letters, that are sent uniquely to your computer to allow 12 BLUEPRINTS to identify and your computer and recognize your subsequent visits to the site. This allows a faster login process, smoother navigation throughout the website, recall of the contents of your shopping cart, and the ability to retrieve personal information such as mailing addresses. Cookies can only be read by web servers and cannot run programs or introduce viruses.
Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can modify your browser (and in some cases, your mobile device) setting to control or disable cookies and other tracking information, which will remove the personalization capability of the 12 BLUEPRINTS website. The technical information provided with those devices will have instructions for these steps.
Security of Personal Data
12 BLUEPRINTS and the server that operates the site maintain the confidentiality of your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other Web sites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. Your information is protected in the same way on your mobile device.
For accounting purposes, 12 BLUEPRINTS sends information regarding purchases to Quick Books Online via My Works accounting software. Both are leaders in online cloud-based software, where 'the cloud' refers to the storage of information over the internet rather than locally in a computer's hard drive. Buyer name and mailing address, email address, and items purchased are maintained in the cloud and will remain there for the duration of use of these accounting services. Credit card information is not shared by the payment gateways (PayPal checkout or Square Up for credit cards) and is not received by the accounting software.
Changes to this Statement
12 BLUEPRINTS will occasionally update this privacy statement to reflect company policy, customer feedback, and changes in the practices and laws surrounding privacy.
