Thank you very much I agree that spring or winter seem to be the ones that could fit best. Muted autumn colors are not as good as clear ones. Colors I know look bad are light peach light salmon pumpkin mustard sage dusty blue dusty purple dusty pink nude pink rose beige/cocoa and certain beiges and browns.

Hi, ninjagurl,

Your description sounds like a Spring of some sort, maybe a Winter blend, but that leaves us with 5 or 6 possibilities, and you still might be none of them. I can't do Season from photos, let alone verbal descriptions, so I'm afraid I can't be of much help. You're very observant about noticing colour though. You'd find the draping amazing. If ever you'd like someone to work out your natural colouring online, there are sources at the end of the directory list (linked in the upper crossbars).

thanks for the tips of color analysis its really helpful but to be sure maybe you could take a guess what I am? I have very fair skin its porclelain with peach my cheeks have peach but I'm not sure if its peach or pink. My eyes are green with a clear orange stars around my pupil there is a dark green ring around my iris near the whites I have some dark eye freckles three in one eye two in the other. Its hard to say what kind of green my eye is its not olive or dark its not very yellow green, but my eyes seem vibrant and sparkley. The whites of my eyes are contrasting to the actual iris and my eye lashes are dark. My lips are contrasting they are rosy pink can look like lipcolor. My haircolor is medium-dark chestnut brown with some auburn highlights. I have some beauty marks in my body but not many. Peach blush that is really orange seems a bit to strong but light peach won't show. I can't wear light peach in clothing because its to blended. I seem to look better with more contrast in clothing wearing a all light outfit doesn't look right. I know light haircolors and to coppery haircolors look bad. Well I tried to give as much information as possible. Thanks!

Hannah,
A slight tan should not be an issue, as long as you know what to ignore. Bright and True Winter are close, but Bright has more tolerance for yellows. I don't have a verbal way to distinguish two colours that will pull these apart. Neighboring Seasons are very hard to tell apart without specifically coloured drapes.

Hi Christine!

I was wondering for those like myself who are dominately clear and debating between whether we are bright winter or bright spring, are there any specific colors and or distinctions that can tell us one way or another? I know I have some warmth in my skin what with the teal veins and pink flush. I've tried the metallic royal blue drape that only bright winters are supposed to get away with and it looks great except it seems to shadow my chin and jawline somewhat. The orange for bright spring on the other hand makes me feel sick and magnifies the red blotchiness in my cheeks. I have taken such an interest in color analysis but I'm at a loss here. Also can having a slight leftover tan affect which of the two seasons one is at the moment?

Thank you for answering!
I just was really happy when I found out that there's something like a BRIGHT winter type, but somehow it doesn't seem to be a common thing here in Germany...maybe I'll find someone.

Greetings, Nora

Hi, Nora,

Though I freely admit that hair colour recommendations have to be done person-by-person, I will say that I have never seen any of the 3 Winters look better as blondes. The dark force of the Season falls apart, and all those beige tones just look mushy, not sharp. Winter is always sharp.
Mousy may be a descriptor for any of the Winters, most commonly Bright. It is a glassy, shiny, almost ashy colour (which is why they get confused with True Summers).
Lauren at www.colormycloset.com is a Bright Winter who lightens the tips of the hair and looks good. She is the only one I know. The Bright coloring is a very delicate balance, think twice before you mess with it.
Do you have a Facebook page? The ladies in the Fan Club often post photos and know they will get honest opinions and suggestions (not from me, but the members know A LOT about colour and have beautiful taste).

Hi there!

I am analysed as a winter type. I am really at the beginning of my progress and at that moment still a little unsure about my new colours... especially because all I knew so far was that winters have dark hair and so on...
I would say that I have "mousy" warm hair, also my eyes aren't really cool, but dark. My coulour analisist recomended to me to go back to blonde...

what would you recommend for a bright winter?

thanks!
I am from germany by the way so please excuse my bad english.
