Right, I’m a Dark Winter. So a Winter person, but incorporating a trace of Autumn, which warms and dulls the colours just a trace.

It seems so subtle, but it makes a world of difference in the crispness of the outlines of the face, giving an appearance of weight loss.

They’re not colours that are in stores. Until I find the perfect one, I mix them myself. Bright Winter is a tough Season for makeup – at least back then it was. Joce was my first Bright Winter and I didn’t have a selection. I find it hard to shop for a Season till I’ve seen the skin and the reactions to color.

Among the many, many misconceptions about Season, one is that Winter has dark hair. There is more variation in Winter hair color than any other. In the article Emily Is A True Winter, you’ll see someone with less intense darkness in the hair as well. Like Joce, the eyes are dramatic when they wear the right colours.

Oh my! Looking Jocelyn was just like I was looking in the mirror! Nice to see that someone else has also as intensive dark eyes and medium brown hair as I do, because in Finland it seems to be quite rare. I’ve had problems in finding matching colours and this really helped me a lot!

The eyeshadow, in fact all the makeup, I use is not always a single product or one available at the retail counters. This is from a beauty supplier, but really it’s simply charcoal gray and icy grey. The icy is on the lower lid, the charcoal is above the crease. The liner is Clinique Quickliner in BlackBrown.

I’d have to see the clothing to know who would wear it. I appreciate your confusion though, since Bright Winter should be the most saturated colour out there. It sounds like you’re describing snowboarding-type clothes, almost neon, which is probably Bright Winter or Bright Spring. True Winter may be darker but less saturated.
