I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas.
Or a Merry Year End, whichever tradition you might celebrate. The ending of one year and the beginning of a new one provide some time and food for contemplation.
We have some things in common with every community. The best thing that humans have when they share a place and time is the ability of thrill each other. Like the restaurant down the street that makes the perfect Chocolate Pate to have with cappuccino at 11PM when your brother is visiting. The hairstylist that gets your hair just perfect, the dental hygienist who does such a good job that you actually look forward to seeing her. The voices here who shared with me many perspectives and taught me to think in terms of the highest potential of all of us.
In our community, we teach other.
We elevate one another. I have a different world view for having been here, and so have you, I hope.
We can free each other.
Free of ego and dogma, and free to reflect on why we held those beliefs, free to release them safely. Know that everyone is trying their best and allow them the innocence with which we see children. They act as our mirror, for others are how the world shows us ourselves. They might allow us the same innocence as we strive to understand and trust in our path.
Free to grow, allowing all errors with comfort and curiosity.
Free to take the time we need for to adjust perceptions. To get back up when we falter and consider the next question with an open mind and heart.
I wish us all a brave and hopeful New Year. May you find renewal of your sources of strength and imagination. Give yourself the gift of time to know your inner being well.
Replace “But what if” with “Focus on”. Set your doubts aside. They only look real. That’s because you have a great imagination.
My love and gratitude to each one of you,
